Those of you who receive my newsletter may have seen the CFBA logo at the top of some of the new book introductions (or blog tours). The Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is an international organization with members in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the Philippines.
(I hope this is okay Jo, but this just weighed so heavy on my heart that I wanted to share it with the blog readers for prayer.) One of the CFBA members in Australia, Kristi, lives on the Limestone Coast and was married just ten short weeks ago. She describes herself as a city girl who married a country boy and even named her blog My Life as a South-East Country Wife.
On Easter afternoon her husband, Steve, drowned in a boating accident at the age of 31. If you’re like me, you can not imagine such a thing. Yes, he was a believer and we know that he is with our Lord, but can you imagine trying to cope with the everyday details of life after being married less than three months? And from what I gather, he worked in the family business of transporting livestock. If you’ve ever worked on a farm or family business, you know that its success is dependent on all members of the family. What a tragedy to that family!
